Banksy

British street artist Banksy has just opened a new installation in New York City, entitled The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill. Focusing on the contradictory ways in which people see and use animals- hence chicken nuggets pecking at ketchup, as mama hen watches over her babies, or uhh…tasty bite sized nuggets- this exhibit is a consistently in-line with Banksy’s notoriously humorous and politically charged guerrilla-style imagery seen on the streets and gallery walls alike.
The exhibition runs through October 31, 2008 at 89, Seventh Avenue South in Greenwich Village, NYC. Get out there and check out Banksy’s newest stuff. Just don’t arrive hungry. He’s trying to make a statement, okay, not feed you lunch.
